McCarthy Mentoring
Wendy McCarthy established a mentoring practice in 1998 when she was asked by the CEO of a global corporation to find mentors for a number of staff who were bright and ambitious but needed some assistance in understanding the "software" of corporate culture at a senior level.
Drawing on her educational background and long professional experience in a broad range of areas she matched the mentees with suitable external mentors. She has since arranged hundreds of successful mentoring relationships for corporations, not-for-profits and the public sector.
In 2007 her daughter Sophie joined the business and it was named McCarthy Mentoring.
McCarthy Mentoring programs create formal one2one relationships between external mentors and selected mentees. The mentoring partnerships are designed to clarify professional and personal goals, enhance the mentees skills, knowledge and confidence, and expand professional networks. Mentors provide support and advice to mentees enabling them to develop strategies and apply their learning in the workplace.
Our programs are developed with our clients for senior executives and their teams, high potential employees, emerging leaders and individuals who wish to privately engage a mentor.
Our promise is to find you the perfect mentor - whose shoes you can walk in.

In terms of personal and professional development, this has been the best development opportunity for me in my 20 year financial services career.
I value the mentoring relationship more than any other form of professional development I receive. Receiving feedback from someone who has lived and breathed it, is much more powerful than any other form of learning or development I have received.

A mentoring relationship is one where a wiser and more experienced person assists another person to grow and learn.
